Hadrian's Library Tickets — Skip-the-Line Timed Entry

Full admission to the Archaeological Site of Hadrian's Library · your chosen date and hourly slot

Reserve my entry

This is full admission to the Archaeological Site of Hadrian's Library — the landmark west façade with its Corinthian columns, the great colonnaded courtyard with its garden and ornamental pool, the remains of the library and reading rooms, and the early Christian churches built within the enclosure. We reserve your entry for the single date and hourly slot you choose and send it to your phone, so you walk straight past the ticket-office queue to the gate.

What's included

Every booking includes the elements below — handled by our concierge team before your visit and confirmed at the gate.

• Hadrian's Library entry — the full archaeological site: the Corinthian west façade, the colonnaded courtyard with its garden and pool, the remains of the library and reading rooms, and the churches within the enclosure • Timed-entry ticket — reserved for the date and hourly slot you choose • 5-minute audio history sent before your visit • Booking handled in your own language

Who this is for

This is standard full admission, ideal for independent travellers who want to skip the on-the-day queue and have everything handled. The standard ticket needs no passport or name. The operator sets its own reduced and free categories (for example for children and certain EU visitors), which may require ID at the gate — contact our team if you think one applies to you. Note the neighbouring Roman Agora and Ancient Greek Agora are separate sites with their own tickets, not covered by this ticket.

On the day

Hadrian's Library is in the centre of old Athens, on Areos street between Monastiraki Square and the Roman Agora — about a two-minute walk from Monastiraki metro on Lines 1 and 3. Show your mobile ticket at the gate within your booked hour and walk the façade, the courtyard and the library remains before the tour groups arrive. It's a compact, largely open site, so bring a hat, sunscreen and water in summer, and allow about 30 to 45 minutes. Because it sits among the Roman Agora, the Greek Agora and the Acropolis — all separate sites with their own tickets — it is easy to fit into a fuller day of ancient Athens.

Frequently asked

Is my ticket valid any time?
It's a timed-entry ticket — you choose your date and hourly slot when you book and we reserve that slot for you, shown on your ticket. Entry is valid for a single admission during that hour.
Is it skip-the-line?
Your entry is reserved before you arrive, so you go straight to the gate instead of queuing at the ticket office.
Is this the same as the Roman Agora or the Greek Agora?
No — Hadrian's Library is a separate site just north of the Roman Agora and beside the Greek Agora. Each has its own ticket; this ticket covers Hadrian's Library only.
How do I receive it?
As a mobile ticket by email once confirmed — nothing to print.
How long should I allow?
About 30 to 45 minutes for the compact site, easily combined with the Roman Agora, the Greek Agora or the Acropolis nearby.
